The Declaration of Independence and Constitution are two of the most important documents in the history of governance, especially in the United States. On the 4th of July, we celebrate the day we declared ourselves a free nation.
The look into both of these documents is due to the fact that the Declaration of Independence was a vision statement for our country. The Constitution was the way that we would execute that vision.
Today, I talk about them both because I think it is important to keep the vision at the top of mind this week as we remember this incredible idea and event in human history.
Quote of the Week:
Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.
-Thomas Jefferson
