115. Book Review | Confessions by St. Augustine of Hippo

Saint Augustine of Hippo, a late-in-life convert and one of the Fathers of the Church. His influence on the growth and theology of the Church is hard to calculate, but he has definitely changed the course of the Catholic Church.

“God had one son on earth without sin, but never one without suffering.”

Saint Augustine

I love the way he speaks to God in this book and how he asks God for the truth. I think it is a great example of how to be an honest seeker of truth. Instead of choosing what you believe and asserting your points, be humble and seek the truth and accept it.
