15. Predicting The End Of Bureaucracy

Since the Industrial Revolution, both businesses and government have grown into behemoth bureaucracies. I see the digital age as a tool for changing that. Also, I begin my quote of the week series and we pay tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives for the freedom we enjoy every day.

Wise words from a wise man. I think the other problem with excuses is that they are often a lie told to oneself, which can have harmful effects should they come to believe their own lies. Lying to oneself distorts reality and hurts one's ability to act freely and within reality. To be honest with others is virtuous, but to be honest with oneself is truly righteous.

11. Is The Collective Good… Good?

With last week's travesty in the U.K. over Alfie, I wanted to discuss the idea of the collective and the collective good. In this, I will argue that there are no government actions that are good for the collective and that this mindset is dangerous for any society.
