Beauty is often mistaken to simply be good. But that is not always the case. This quote reminded me of a song by the Main Squeeze called “The Devil Was An Angel Too.” In it, the lead singer describes falling in love and having his heart broken, but says he should have known better than to put his full trust in her because she was beautiful because the devil was an angel too.
Beauty simply attracts human attention, something God and the devil are constantly fighting for. So don’t think that a catchy song is simply a work of divine art, because it could be the devil at work. And for those of you who don’t believe in God or the devil, you have to recognize that beauty could serve either good or evil, thus conveying the same idea.
